LSR7's 2022 Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Holly Dahn a vocal music educator at Summit Lakes Middle School. In addition to spending her entire education career in the Lee's Summit School District, Mrs. Dahn attended Lee's Summit Schools and grew up in the community.

LSR7 High School Journalism and Yearbook Awards
Student journalists within the Lee's Summit R-7 School District won more than 50 awards this year during the annual "J-Day" event. J-Day is sponsored by the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association and Missouri Journalism Education Association.
