Parish Digital Update
Annunciation - Lancaster, PA
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Our Lenten Journey is coming to an end this Friday. This weekend we celebrate Lazarus Saturday and Palm Sunday, with Holy Week beginning on Sunday evening with the Bridegroom Service at 7:00 PM. Due to the funeral of Fr. Nicholas Kossis in Bethlehem, PA, this Friday with His Eminence Metropolitan Savas presiding (more information below), the following changes are being made to our parish schedule this weekend:
The Friday morning Presanctified Liturgy at our Annunciation Church has been cancelled.
The Friday morning "Greek Study of the Greek Saints and Elders" has been cancelled.
The confessions scheduled with Fr. Nicholas Palis have been cancelled.
His Eminence Metropolitan Savas will be visiting our parish THIS SATURDAY and presiding at the Liturgy of Lazarus Saturday instead of the Holy Saturday morning Liturgy next week.
Please join us in the Philoptochos Hall after the Saturday of Lazarus Liturgy for coffee fellowship and refreshments as we make palm crosses and meet with His Eminence. Please sign up your children for the HOPE and JOY Retreat so that they can meet the Metropolitan and decorate their Pascha candles as they learn about Holy Week!
On Sunday after Holy Communion, the Sunday School children (grades Pre-K through 6th grade) will assemble in the social hall and come upstairs for the Palm Sunday procession and singing with the palm branches.
Please sign up your Goyans for the Palm Sunday Dinner Dialogue at 5:45PM (before teh Bridegroom Service) as they discuss Holy Week with Isaac Lampart and have the opportunity to decorate their Pascha candles or stuff Easter Eggs for the Easter Egg hunt on Pascha Sunday!
Καλή Ανάσταση! A blessed Holy Week to all!
In the service of our Lord,
Fr. Hector
Due to the funeral of the newly-reposed Fr. Nicholas Kossis of Bethlehem, PA, His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburg will preside with us for Lazarus Saturday instead of Holy Saturday.

With profound hope in the Resurrection we announce the passing into eternal life of Fr. Nicholas Kossis (recently tonsured the Hieromonk Nikodimos), beloved priest to the faithful of the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
A viewing and vigil will begin at 7pm this Thursday, at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. On Friday, April 15, the Ninth Hour and PreSanctified Liturgy will be celebrated at 8am with a viewing following from 10-11am. The Funeral Service for a Clergyman will be held at 11am, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Savas. Burial will be at Holy Protection Monastery, followed by a Makaria.
May God grant rest with the Saints to the soul of His priest Nicholas (Nikodimos), and His life and mercy to us all.
