Celebration of Books
Preparations are underway for this year’s Celebration of Books — join in to celebrate UTM’s authors, editors, and librarians on April 20 at 1 p.m. with a virtual event.

Follow the leadership
UTM recently sent their first team to the global Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC).
Coached by Laura Walking, Student Engagement Coordinator, Leadership, Mentorship and the Co-Curricular Record, the team had a strong inaugural showing at the competition, which featured 1,393 students on 199 teams from 110 institutions. Founded in 2015, CLC provides a practice field for higher education students who are passionate about leadership. UTM’s six-person team has been training since January.
One timed activity had them take the role of an new entrepreneur opening a frozen-treat business, including choosing a location, planning a menu, analyzing market research and launching and running the business through a simulator. The team has already registered to compete again next year. Learn more
