Get it in Gardiner - All Year Long!

The Blind Pig Tavern - "Laugh Hard, Speak Easy"

The Blind Pig Tavern at 266 Water Street in downtown Gardiner has quickly become a popular spot to dine and have a night out with friends and family. They have a large menu of signature cocktails, unique dishes (like the Boss Hog PB&J burger!) and house made desserts that will please your palate. Opened in November of 2019 The Blind Pig began as a small dining establishment and has since expanded into a much larger space that was remodeled to seat many more people and provide a relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy a meal.

Not only is the food and drink delicious but they also have weekly events that have become a staple of Gardiner's night life! Tuesday nights are for Trivia & Tacos, karaoke on Wednesday nights, and they have live music on Sunday afternoons. On Friday and Saturday they have dining until 11pm and a Sunday brunch menu every week from 10am-2pm.

Owners Brandi and Roland Kennerson continue to work hard at growing their business and believe in investing in Gardiner. They recently purchased the building The Blind Pig is located in, and plans are underway to create an event space on the third floor! More information will be available soon about this exciting development.

The next time you are making plans to dine out or gather with friends make a trip to The Blind Pig Tavern! View their new summer menu on Facebook: facebook.com/theblindpig266 or call 207-592-0776 for more information.

Cleaning Out The Garden? Donate to Plant Sale

Keep your extra plants to donate for June 18 Library Sale
Community members are organizing a plant sale to benefit the Gardiner Public Library Association on June 18. Plant donations are needed to make the event a success. Donations of healthy, pest-free, cuttings, seedlings, divided perennials, and labeled plants for the plant sale are appreciated. Herbs and vegetable plants would be great as well!

Plan ahead by sowing extra seed in pots (April is time to sow seeds in the house). No invasive plants, please (not sure what's invasive? - more info here). Native plants preferred. Hosta and perennials are welcome. Please, no English ivy. Bring gardening books that you are ready to let go of for a book exchange. Plants will sell for $1, $3, and $5. Proceeds will go to the Gardiner Library Association which maintains the library and its gardens.

Please let John Woytowicz (hawthorn57@gmail.com) or Kathy Brown (kathypbrown4@gmail.com) know if you are bringing plants and how many - or if you would like to help volunteer for the sale. Plant drop off is at the library on June 17th in the afternoon or early on June 18. This is a great opportunity for gardeners to get to know gardeners and just have fun! Thank you for your help – hope to see you there.
