An invitation to Kassel
Dear postgrads,
The anticipation of the international summer intensive in Lübeck is certainly already big, but you don't have to wait that long to finally do Bothmer Gymnastics together with other gymnasts. The BMI group from Kassel warmly invites you to its intensive block. This intensive will take place from Wednesday evening 25.05 to Sunday noon 29.05. Save the date and join us!
Martin Baker will teach Bothmer Gymnastics. There is a colourful program with lot of Bothmer, projective geometry, games, archery, intensive practice sessions as well as javelin and discus throwing.
Lunch and dinner are provided. Overnight stay at the school is possible again, if required (€5 per night). The cost of contribution for Postgrads is 150€. Full board, including the break times is € 55.

Bothmer Therapy
Since 2013 all certified Bothmer gymnast can train to become a Bothmer therapist.
There are 63 people who have already completed this training. Some of them use Bothmer therapy in their work in schools, some have their own therapy-practices or decided to become a Bothmer therapist as a part-time job. In addition, there are also a number of Bothmer gymnasts who had been working in the therapeutic field before the start of the first therapy course, so the exact number of therapists is unknown, but there are probably many Bothmer therapists out there!
Bothmer therapy belongs to the anthroposophic body therapies. These therapies have joined together in a group called IAABT. The IAABT (International Association for Anthroposophic Body Therapies) is based in Dornach and belongs to the the medical section of the Goetheanum.
This umbrella organization is responsible for all anthroposophically working body therapists worldwide. Its task is, among other things, to take care of the further- and advanced trainings of body therapists, to establish international networks and to help individual therapists if they have any questions about the recognition and the integration into anthroposophic medicine of their practiced form of body therapy.
Everything is explained in detail on the IAABT website and those who are interested can obtain comprehensive information there.
The next interdisciplinary advanced training for body therapists will take place from 3.June - 4.June, 2022 at the Anthroposophical Centre in Kassel, Germany.

Bothmer 100
A walk to the inner centre
This summer marks the hundredth anniversary of Bothmer Gymnastics. It is a reason to celebrate and to look at how Bothmer Gymnastics has developed throughout the decades, how is it now and what is its essence.
After two years of inner standstill, we are happy that it is possible to honour and celebrate Bothmer gymnastics this summer. We are particularly pleased that people from different eras of the gymnastics will be there. In order to make this event even more colourful, we would like to ask you to contact all of those whom you have encountered in your “Bothmer-past”: those with whom you have done the Bothmer course, those who live far away from you and even those who you haven’t seen in a long time!
Do you remember someone from your Bothmer training whom you haven't spoken to in ages? Then now it is time to get in touch with him or her and pass on the invitation to our 100 year celebration!
Of course, the invitation can go out to everybody: to all interested parties, to Bothmer gymnasts in your area, your course members, your work colleagues and anybody, who you think might be interested. The registration for the anniversary will open in May and will be accessible on our website: www.bothmer100.eu.
The program of the weekend is very colourful: stories of contemporary witnesses of the past will contribute to the weekend just as much as the developing and sharing great ideas of the future.
Three days, three times: past, present, future. Striding through the flow of time, a meeting place for what has been and what is to come: a hundred years of the present. And you in the middle!

- International Bothmer ® Summer Intensive 2022 Lübeck, Germany 31 July 2022- 07 August 2022
The international Bothmer Summer Intensive celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of Bothmer Gymnastics will take place at the Free Waldorf School Lübeck (Germany) from 31 July to 07 August 2022.
The summer intensive will take place in any case! Most of the restrictions are lifted everywhere, so it will be possible to finally meet, practice Bothmer gymnastics and play together again! Because of the constantly changing state of the world, this year we do need some more time to work out the details of the week. As soon as we have everything finalised we will open the registration. Of course, we will let you know on this platform as soon as the registration is open. We are looking forward to seeing many of you this summer again!
