April is “Earth Month,” leading up to the 52nd annual Earth Day on Friday, April 22. As we join people around the world to honor this month, we proclaim that caring for the earth is part of the work of Becoming Beloved Community. It is not a separate calling but woven into our calls for reconciliation and justice.

Just a few weeks ago, The Episcopal Church was honored to host a panel of leaders at a parallel event to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, which this year focused on climate change and environment.

Our panel focused on ecofeminism and ecowomanism—uplifting the traditions of women, especially women of color, leading the environmental justice movement.
