No more weeklies for the year! Good luck with exams!
We hope you enjoyed our final weekly last Friday- we know we did. Unfortunately, with school officially being out and finals season beginning, heralding the end of this semester, we will no longer be having weekly events until the next school year begins in the Fall (September) 2022 semester headed by next year's exec team. However, we may be having meetups over the summer term, such as our annual beach outing that coincides with the Celebration of Light fireworks festival, and cons like Minicomi and Anirevo will be happening in the summer, so stay tuned!
Best of luck with your final exams and projects, and thank you all so much for a wonderful year!

LAST WEEK to RSVP: Laser tag + Old Spaghetti dinner outing after finals!
President Cole insisted he would do a laser tag outing as his magnum opus parting gift to the club before the year ends, and it's finally happening! Due to the fact that unfortunately the laser tag place does not let us conveniently pay as individuals, we will be requiring anyone interested to pay the club the $17 per person for the event in advance as they RSVP through this form here. Anyone who does not RSVP before the deadline of 12:00PM noon on April 15th will not be guaranteed a spot during laser tag or a seat during the dinner. Payment can be made either via e-transfer to the club at ubcani@gmail.com, or you may pay in cash or card at our karaoke weekly this Friday. For those paying by e-transfer, please use the same name you wrote in the RSVP form as a comment along with your e-transfer. We will not be issuing refunds to anyone who fails to turn up to the event.

Votes opening this Friday: Club bylaw amendment to introduce new exec role - Dark Lord
We promise this is not an April Fool's joke, it hasn't even been April 1st for several days at the time of this newsletter. As the header says, we are announcing an amendment to UBC Anime Club's bylaws to introduce a new executive position called Dark Lord (named such upon request) from the current and future exec team. Please note that this position is not available to the public to apply for at present- the current and future exec team will appoint someone for the position once it is passed. The Dark Lord's responsibilities will be as follows:
- Advising Current President
- Coordinating Volunteers
- Assist other executives in club-related duties
We need at least 34 votes of approval (2/3rds of 50 members in favor) in order to pass this motion. Voting will take place on the AMS Campusbase website once again at this link and opens on 12:00PM noon, April 15th, 2022. Only UBC student members of the club may vote for this change. The voting period will close on April 17th, 2 days later. Thank you for all of your support!
