Statista brought together quite a few interesting insights on the current market developments in the voice tech space.

Overall, the stats are very impressive: the global voice recognition tech market reached close to 10 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 and is projected to amount to almost 30 billion U.S. dollars in 2026. Looking at the smart speaker sector, Amazon shipped 10.4 million smart speaker units in Q3 2021, leaving Google (8.1M) e Baidu (5.4M) behind.

Zoom callers since day 1 - Amazon

Amazon just launched in the U.S. its latest kid-dedicated product Glow, a new device comprised of a 19”-projected-touch screen and a 8”-video-calling display. While kids play and enjoy hands-on activities, adults can watch and talk with them from afar through the videocall.

It’s not easy to prompt people to act upon audio advertising and strategies in this area tend to rely upon the user’s ability to remember a certain code or website name.

The voice product trial campaign service Send Me a Sample is one of the most effective ways to allow customers to interact with voice, as well as tracking their journey. Their new feature prompts customers to add items to their Amazon cart after they have enjoyed a sample, effectively bringing voice commerce on Amazon.

Voice apps like the ones by Giallozafferano, the most known Italian recipe websites, are based on the intuition that cooks usually have their hands busy when following a recipe.

Spotify Car Thing gets better and better - Voicebot.ai

The music platform’s smart speaker for cars was just launched late last year and is already being upgraded with new features and voice commands.

After awakening “Hey, Spotify”, users will now be able to ask their assistant to listen to music from Spotify competing platforms like YouTube Music, make phone calls, curate playlists and add or remove songs and podcasts to a queue.
