Plans in Costa Rica
We will be back for our “Home Assignment”. That includes to raise our financial support, reconnect with churches and friends and to support our local organization.
We have already been here for 4 and a half years this term.
Part of our task in CR is to raise our financial support. We are at 70% of our goal and we need to be at our 100% to come back to PNG.
We also have to do medical checks, dentist visits, several sets of eyeglasses among other things.
Probably, in our plan, this will be Isaí’s last visit to Costa Rica before he starts the university and lives there full time. So it is very important for him to create deep connections and friends this time. Our hope is for him to create routines with a youth ministry and a sports or music club even if he can’t join all our ministry activities.
Join us in prayer:
Pray for our trip, it will take 6 airplanes and more than 38 hours in the air, the longest flight takes 16 hours.
Pray for our health, no allergies, strong stomachs, Covid free and negative tests.
Pray that new people and churches partner with us financially and in prayer that we can return in one year.
Pray for our finances, besides the traveling expenses we will also have to pay our insurance, homeschool materials, buy a washing machine for CR, and everything to settle down in Costa Rica.
Pray that the luggage doesn’t get lost.
Pray for Isaí that he can re-adapt to Costa Rica and can create deep relationships and grow roots.
Pray that we can find Universities that have full English subjects that fit Isaí’s skills and desires.
We need to send two suitcases from the USA to CR. Pray that we can find a couple people available.
Other needs
Music is one of Isaí's favourite subjects, he enjoys playing the French Horn with the School Band. He has 3 years playing it, he has been in 7 concerts and he has improved a lot.
He wishes to continue practicing in Costa Rica so we are researching to find an academy so he can keep improving.
We rent the instrument from the High School but he needs his own instrument to play in CR. We have been saving money but according to his teacher's recommendations the price is way beyond what we have thought.
Pray for a miracle that Isaí can buy his instrument before arriving at CR.
