The indoor winter farmers market may be done for the season, but music, festivals and opportunities for doing good are returning to Garver in a BIG way.
With over 25 food vendors and 15 visual artists, Femmestival returns to Garver featuring the power of womxn and allies with proceeds supporting local causes.
Another way to support a good cause is purchasing a Sitka Salmon Share's one-time seafood box anytime during the month of April and profits will go to World Central Kitchen. Or treat yourself to a free slice of pizza by volunteering at Ian's for the Earth Month clean-up this Saturday.
More live music is on the calendar with a special performance of traditional Quebecois music by Le Vent du Nord. April also features visual arts including a new photography exhibit by Lianne Milton on display in Garver Canvas.

Femmestival Returns on April 24th
In partnership with the Culinary Ladies Collective, Femmestival, a celebration of food and arts at Garver Feed Mill, returns on April 24 from 11am - 6pm.
Designed to celebrate and uplift women, femmes and nonbinary makers and their supporters, the event is a re-imagination of what a festival can be when womxn and allies put themselves, their economic health and their creative energies first. This year's event features at least 25 food vendors and 15 visual artists.
This free event is open to the public, though most food items are set at $6.25 each (including fees). A portion of Garver Lounge bar proceeds will benefit Centro Hispano and the Culinary Ladies Collective.

Garver Canvas welcomes, Mother / Nai, a new MFA exhibit on display by photographer Lianne Milton.
The new exhibit, open Thursdays thru Sundays, uses the family album to explore the reconstructed autobiographical narratives about Lianne's family history, transgenerational memory, and the Chinese diaspora. The family pictures become an interpretive tool to explore the effects of matrilineal diasporic experiences and constructions of maternal identity.

Garver Features Quebec Band
In less than 1 week, the award winning and highly acclaimed band Le Vent du Nord brings their progressive francophone folk movement to Garver atrium.
All seats are general admission. Doors open at 6:30pm. Drinks and dinner in the Garver Lounge beginning at 4pm.
Featuring button accordion, guitar and fiddle, the band’s sound is defined by the hurdy-gurdy, which adds an earthy, rough-hewn flavor to even the most buoyant dance tunes.”
