URA Residential Relocation – Knowledge Check

The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended (URA), requires relocation assistance and payments be provided to eligible displaced persons. Residential displaced persons may be eligible to receive relocation advisory services, moving expense payments, replacement housing payments, and other assistance.

Do you know which statements are true and which are false?

  • Current replacement housing payment limits are $5250 for displaced 90-day occupants and $22,500 for 180-day homeowner occupants.
  • The replacement housing payment limits may only be exceeded by requesting a waiver.
