Queer Community Groups are back!
Our Queer Community Groups are weekly, hour long, student led groups at the intersections of various identities. This year attendees can expect to participate in thoughtful and fruitful conversation, visit local attractions, attend programs together, enjoy dinners, and more!
All groups will begin meeting next week, except Bi/Pandemonium which will begin meeting TOMORROW, Thursday at 4:30PM in AMUC 132.

Consciousness is Power Exhibit
Emory Libraries is marking Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing its first-ever Latinx pop-up exhibit from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
The exhibit is curated by Arturo Contreras, a fourth-year student majoring in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Visit Level 2 of the Woodruff Library to see "Consciousness Is Power: A Record of Emory Latinx History."

Apostles of Change Panel Discussion
Dr. Felipe Hinojosa will deliver a talk about his book, Apostles of Change which will be followed by a roundtable discussion on Latinx radical politics, the work of recovering Latinx histories, and the historical and contemporary issues facing Latinx students at Emory. Discussants include Dr. Felipe Hinojosa, Arturo Contreras (“Consciousness is Power” Exhibit Curator), Jonathan Peraza Campos (Program Specialist with Teaching for Change and Educational Consultant), and Taína Figueroa (Assistant Director for the Office of RACE); the roundtable will be moderated by Dr. Iliana Yamileth Rodriguez, Assistant Professor of History at Emory University.

Desgraciado, a project born as a response to the prompt “write a love letter to your worst enemy,” is a collection of letters written to Diego de Landa, a Spanish friar who attempted to destroy the written Maya language in the Yucatán on July 12, 1562 by burning codices, eight centuries of Mayan literature. Intimate and personal, Angel’s letters offer a space beyond the temporal to connect more deeply with their family, community, and kin.

Created by Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, and Fred Armisen, Los Espookys is a Spanish-language (with English subtitles) comedy following a group of friends who turn their love for horror into a peculiar business, providing horror to those who need it, in a dreamy Latin American country where the strange and eerie are just part of daily life.
