Return to the Common Cup
Starting this week, we will be retuning to our pre-Covid custom of allowing members to intinct (dip) the wafer in the chalice or drink directly from the chalice.
The common cup has been a long-standing practice in the church. Just as Jesus took one cup and gave it to all of his disciples to drink, we share a common cup as a symbol of our unity in Christ.
As always, it is acceptable to receive communion in one kind (bread only) and pass by the cup.
