Help us with final map review!

Hello atlasers!

We are now near the end of data vetting and there will be 2 opportunities for you to get involved and help doublecheck records in your area.

Right now: We’re looking for anyone interested to peruse the maps, looking for unusual sightings in your region that could be errors. We have an internal team working through every species, but you have important local knowledge!

Because pulling up every species in eBird would be tedious, we’ve created 4 pdfs that allow you to scroll through every species and quickly skim your region.

Review deadline is October 23.

Later this year: Our final step will be examining the species lists for each priority block, to make sure the dozen screening steps we’ve undertaken haven’t messed anything up. With this step we’re especially interested in local experts, county coordinators, and principal atlasers, who know these blocks best.  Stay tuned for details on this process.
Thanks for all your help with the atlas so far! The data vetting has been a long process but it's nearing the end.
