Youth Educators, It's Time!

We are excited to introduce the new and improved Youth Design Challenge curriculum guide. Not only will educators find a simplified and streamlined process for lesson planning, they’ll find the flow of the MIMIC Instructional Framework to be improved—all based on educator feedback from last year’s Challenge. You’ll also find clearer alignment with the 5E instructional model and updated worksheets and activities to guide you along the way.

For those that have already integrated the YDC Legacy Curriculum into your school year, don't fret! You can still follow those guides, but we encourage you to review the new Project Rubric for grading and submission into the Challenge, as well as the 2022-23 Program Handbook.

Curious about how the YDC aligns with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
