Hello from The Free Republic of P.A.Z.NIA...more specifically, hello from our 3RD ANNUAL gathering of liberation, VONUFEST.



I don’t have any special releases or anything – just some updates & parting words after a really exciting month in physical space and time.
 
This past weekend, Ora & I had the pleasure of making a trip to Tennessee to meet our friend, Sek McGora from The Agora: Podcast. He was having his inaugural shindig at The Free Territory of Sekistan (of which we have a non-aggression/diplomatic treaty with vis-a-vis the P.A.Z.NIA Dept. of Freedom).
 
It was also the official initiation into his Royal Order of the Chilluminati; but don’t worry, there were no weird Cremation of Care of rituals, the eating of children, or anything like that...just liberation in the Second Realm!
 
It was amazing to meet him, his family, and the folks he’s been networking with in his area, whether online, via Freedom Cell meetups, or whatever. Further, since he’s been doing the self-sufficiency/homesteading thing for awhile, I gained some amazing inspiration on our rainwater collection setup, composting bins, guerrilla gardening, etc.

I also got to meet Dag from Agorist Nexus (where I’m the lead editor), an incredible, totally unexpected surprise.

In the next week or so, you’ll probably catch the episode Sek recorded there at the event – I got a chance to hop on, along with many other folks that made it out.

This was also the first time I’d ever offered Water Kefir along with books, Ora’s apothecary items, etc. And it was a big hit! So much so, I’ll be offering a Starter Bundle with in-depth instructions soon.

Briefly, kefir grains are similar to a yogurt/cheese starter culture. They come from sheep/cow stomach and are essentially the start to a healthy microbiome. You can do the same with milk (milk kefir), but in this case, you’d add some kefir grains to distilled water, toss in some sugar and molasses for food/nutrition, and the microorganism population will rapidly expand – if you’re familiar with Kombucha, you’d basically be starting your “mother.”

It tastes surprisingly good by then, but after the first ferment (1-2 days depending on temperature), you can then add lemons, limes, apples, pears, whatever you want, and let that ferment again. The bacteria therein will begin to digest your “additives of choice”, and you might even end up with a Party Kefir if you’re lucky (i.e. a kefir with 2+% alcohol).

So, they taste amazing, are chockful of B vitamins (it’s like drinking a liquid steak), can get you buzzed, and they are incredibly probiotic rich, the best solution for an imbalanced microbiome. Further, the microorganism population you consume will also help you to digest your next meal!

Anyway, keep a lookout for much more on kefir – it’s a new staple here at our P.A.Z.NIA Department of Health & Wellness and I’ll be doing a lot of experimentation.

Ora & I returned to P.A.Z.NIA Monday to an already busy & bustling homestead. Some had arrived early to help setup and complete some projects, of which we are the utmost appreciative!

(NOTE: Day-to-day tasks can eat up a lot of time and it’s not always easy to handle some of the maintenance that needs to be done – for that reason, we’re always happy to barter with folks who are interested in helping us build out & maintain Veritas, P.A.Z.NIA.

Our main barter is a STEAKholder membership, but negotiations are always welcome.)

Firewood is already cut, the old four wheeler trail is cleared, the P.A.Z.NIA Bar, Grill, & Outdoor Lounge is all setup/decorated, & we’ve hit double digits in numbers, with most slated to arrive closer to the weekend.

Today, I’ll be spending some time making water kefir for the event, along with some kefir cultured yogurt for those who are interested in learning about that process. And tomorrow, we’ll process a couple of Silas’ lambs.
