Roxanne J. Barker, born in Africa and now resident in Ham, has written and illustrated her first children's book, Lexi and the Magic Cats.

Her characters are inspired by real life animals and people.

Published by DTP Impressions, her fiction for young readers focuses on overcoming childhood chanllenges such as shyness, doubt, worry, embarrassment and not feeling good enough in a magical, gentle and relatable way.

Roxanne creates fiction for children to help them learn how to take action to determine their own futures.
