YouTube Basics
Wednesday, October 26, November 9, 16
10-11:30 am- Video Lab

This three-session in-person class will be facilitated by Ward Cushman beginning October 26 in the Video Lab.  You will gain an understanding of YouTube, learn the main functions, create and setup an account, setup a YouTube Channel and more. Why have a YouTube channel?  Because we now use our cell phones and iPads to video just about everything.  If you create video content, this is a great way to share your videos with your friends and family. These classes will show you how to navigate YouTube, upload video content, add music and share your videos on your YouTube Channel.  You are encouraged to bring in your laptop or iPad as we will walk you through the process of creating your own YouTube Channel.

The cost for members is $15 for all three sessions.  If you are not a member, the cost is $30 and includes 2022-2023 membership.   Send your request or any questions you may have to videocluboflagunawoods@gmail.com.

10-11:30 am - Video Lab

On Monday, October 31st in the Video Lab, Wolfgang Kutter will offer a two hour introduction to the Corel Video Studio editing program using a PC. This software is easy to use, but very powerful. We will show you the necessary steps to take in order to start your video editing project and we will cover many of the features which are part of this software to help make your project a success.

If you have the Corel Video Studio software on your laptop, bring your computer to the Lab or use contact us to reserve one of the Video Club's computers to follow the presentation. This introduction is meant for editors who are new to Corel, but also for those who want to refresh their basic knowledge.

The cost for members is $5 for this session.  If you are not a member, the cost is $20 and includes 2022-2023 membership. Have any questions or wish to reserve a computer?  Email us at videocluboflagunawoods@gmail.com.

Video One Productions

Our special interest Forum for Video Club members interested in team-based video projects is currently meeting via Zoom twice monthly on second and fourth Fridays at 1 pm.   In-person meetings may resume soon, so watch for announcements. For more information or a link to attend a meeting, contact VidOne Facilitator Fred Harshbarger, f.harshbarger@sbcglobal.net.

Our next scripted film project is described as a dark comedy. It will be filmed primarily in one location in Laguna Woods. The plan is to film the script each weekday beginning October 17 for a period of 5 days.  We plan to be on set from 9am until 3pm with food brought in for the crew. Currently we have several unfilled crew functions and encourage Video Club members to participate. Every position is important to the success of this project. The areas needing support are a clapper person, someone to assist with lighting and a gofer. These projects are fun and helpful!  If you are a club member with an interest in participating in this project, please contact Tom Nash, 714-381-0781 or tomnash36@gmail.com.   If you are not a Video Club member and wish to participate, feel free to join the club for a $15 annual membership fee.  Click here for the membership application.
