LIPOR – Intermunicipal Waste Management Service of Greater Porto has the pleasure of inviting you to the Waste2Resource Press Conference taking place at the Press Club Brussels Europe, on the 29th of September 2022, from 5:15 to 7:00 PM.

Marine Litter is a serious problem leading to the environmental degradation of the water ecosystems within and outside the EU. Therefore, it needs a bold response from the EU and countries around the world at its land origins. LIPOR’s actions regarding solid waste management are directly related to solving the marine litter problems.

This press conference aims to present LIPOR’s waste management actions, as well as its response to the marine litter challenge through projects in different countries. It is aimed at the stakeholders such as EU institutions, Business Associations, ENGOs and other potential partners in waste management, namely regarding marine litter.

To discuss this topic, the event will include the speakers José Manuel Ribeiro (LIPOR's Chairman), Fernando Leite (LIPOR’s CEO), an invited speaker from an EU Institution and will be moderated by Teresa Presas (Senior Advisor at Magellan Circle). The session will be followed by a networking cocktail.
