It's just a little over a week away...and we need YOU! Training takes place today at 11 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Even if you haven't signed up to volunteer and want to know more...come and join us! And if you want to volunteer but can't come this morning, complete the online application and we will get in touch with you for training. 

Our re-opening date for inhouse, sit-down, restaurant dining is Monday, October 3. After 2 ½ years of “to go” meals (0ver 50,000!), we are very excited to be able to welcome our guests back inside. We need volunteers to make this happen, so if you would like to volunteer or to learn more about volunteering, please use the contact information below. And consider organizing a group (family, neighbors, colleagues, club members) to volunteer on a regular basis. It's fun serving with others. 

Volunteers needed Monday thru Friday:
- Morning session, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Kitchen prep, set tables, etc.
- Afternoon session: 3:15 – 6:30 p.m. Serving guests, clean-up.

Getting to Know You! As we grow in community, we grow in knowing one another; our stories, our dreams our hopes. Please join us in this wonderful event by signing up to be a part. Getting out into the world...Volunteers needed in our community! 

Mama Mia!  is a hit at our local Gallery Theater. Two more shows have been added (An evening show on Sunday, September 25, and a matinee on Saturday, October 1st)...and volunteers are needed to serve for these two shows as well as others. You can volunteer here or go to gallerytheater.org

Scottish Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and 2, at the County Fairgrounds. Learn more about this wonderful event and consider volunteering with this link.  

Enjoy this autumn time as a joy filled child of God and by being a part of our wonderful community. 

Odds and Ends:

We have a few "Peace" tags available for your backpack/briefcase. They are available in the church office and in the narthex for one and all. 


Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, October 2, at the 9:30 a.m. service. All creatures of God are welcome! WATCH for more news as we are trying to plan a Blessing of the Animals later in the day for anyone who wishes to stop by from 2-4 p.m. AND be sure to bring a new (tag attached, please!) stuffed animal for donation to Juliette's House. 

Our Fall Bible Study on "Miracles" will begin on Thursday, October 6. Class will occur at 12 noon and again at 7 p.m. in the Treadwell Room. 

Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. is Choir rehearsal! The Choir is now leading the music in our worship. Come join this wonderful ministry. 


Pick up a Liturgical Calendar and follow the saints and seasons of the church through the year at home. Calendars are available in the narthex and in the church office. A donation of $5 is requested.

- Enhance our worship by donating the cost of flowers...or even flowers from your own yard for a Sunday worship service. Contact Sue for details or sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex (entry.)
