The first Friday of each month is a  Spirit Wear for Stewardship day.
Each month, student-raised funds are donated to a special cause.

The September Stewardship donation is made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. 
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

Comet Clubs
Join our Comet Clubs during Grace Period! This fall, the Media Center is hosting two clubs: Stitches of Service will meet on Mondays. Grace Gardeners will meet on Thursdays. See the attached flyer for more information. Registration forms are in the Media Center.

Read Across America
We have read all the way to Seattle, Washington! That's a distance of 3,744 miles, but our students have read more than 5,000 minutes (miles) during their travels. We are on the road to San Francisco, so keep reading and recording those minutes!

HEALTH ROOM

Record of immunizations for all students are due before September 16th.
All are reported to N.C. State Health Department.

Physicals are required for all NEW students and for all 6th graders.
Download Student Physical Form

Administration of any medication, including non-perscription, requires the Diocese form to be signed by a physician.

Don't forget, every student should bring a refillable water bottle to school daily.

Charley Chappell, St. Pius X Alumna, Named as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist!

Saint Pius X Catholic School alumna (8th Grade Class of 2019) and current Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School senior Charley Chappell has been named as a semifinalist in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.  The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents fewer than 1% of US high school seniors and the highest scoring entrants from each state. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be awarded next spring. Congratulations, Charley! The SPX School community is proud of you!
