Join your Valley family for a fun day at Jensen Lake Park in Eagan. Bring your own picnic (we will have hot grills ready, if you want to grill something), activities for the whole family, a campfire and APPLE PIE!! Growing through Giving
STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVE
A few weeks ago, Valley Covenant Members approved an annual budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023. To meet this budget, we need to GROW OUR GIVING. We were recently reminded of Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount that when we have a need, we ASK. Along with asking God to provide for us, we are also asking you, our church family, to consider how God may work through you to provide what we need.
Based on where giving has been during Fiscal Year 2021-2022, we need an additional $1600 each week to meet our budget.
How to Get Involved:
- Prayerfully consider what you can give.
- Send an email to pledge@valleycc.org. Let us know how you are committing to help. (Only Jackie Nelson and Amy Hett will see this information. Pastoral staff does not see what anyone gives.)
- No record of these responses is being kept—they are simply a way of indicating our intentions. Church staff will add apples to our GIVING TREE (no names—just a representation of responses) in the atrium as responses come in, so we can all be encouraged as we watch our giving grow!
- Be faithful in giving the amount you pledge. God will provide!

Youth Sermon Chats
SUNDAYS AFTER THE WORSHIP SERVICE | OCTOBER 2 - NOVEMBER 13
Sundays this fall, stay after the service for lunch and conversation with friends! We'll be encouraging each other with thoughts about how the character of God is revealed in the texts from the sermon. Grab a sermon outline if you'd like to take notes, and then join us as we think about our great God together. Lunch and transportation home will be provided. If you'd like to contribute $5 for food, that's great, but not necessary. Let us know if you're planning on joining us so we can plan enough food! youth@valleycc.org Note: on Oct 2, we'll wrap up our lunch and chat in time to join families at the Fall Party. We can get you there or bring you home!

The adult Wednesday night bible study this fall with be a on Letters from Peter. This adult study will be on Wednesday nights beginning September 14 through November 16.

Youth Group will meet on Wednesday evenings during Wednesday night programming for all ages at Valley. Come directly to Southside A at 6:30 for fellowship and connection, after which we’ll dive deep into God’s word through study and small groups. What can I pray for today?
Join with others in our church family to lift up a specific prayer request to the Lord each day of the month. Today, pray for families who care for loved ones, have children with special needs, or are now unemployed or facing extra challenges during this time. Tomorrow, pray for For God’s Children International in Romania & the USA. On Sunday, thank God for and pray for Youth Directors: Becky, Christina & Jason. On Monday, thank God for and pray for Valley’s administrative staff, Amy Hett, Jackie Nelson & Josh Watczak. Ask for a provision or blessing from God. Our monthly prayer calendar can be found here.
