End of Week 2 and Competition Updates
Hello Swim Club UW, great job so far this season, and thanks to every who came to our Chipotle fundraiser. Many updates are included in this email! Please read everything carefully and reach out with any questions. If you have any SCUW photos, send them to an officer to get featured in the weekly emails.

Registration
When: FRIDAY, September 23rd
As we get into the season, please remember that registration is necessary to continue to praticipate in club practices. If your Membership Consent & Supplemental Health Forms are not complete in addition to your IM Leagues registration, you will not be able to practice come Sunday until those are done. Please take care of this
CCS Central Regionals Planning Committee
Are you interested in getting more involved with SCUW? We are hosting the CCS Central Regionals at the Nick and need help. Apply to the Regionals Planning Committee to help organize the CCS Regionals meeting this November. All members including new members are encouraged to apply! Minnesota Twin Cities Invite
When: Saturday, October 8th, 2022
Where: Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center – Minneapolis, MN
SCUW's first competition of the year is coming up! We will be traveling to Minnesota to compete at the Twin Cities Invite. The meet packet along with the meet itinerary are linked below. This is a one-day travel meet, sign-up will be on Active and will be opening early next week, stay on the lookout for that.

Minnesota Itinerary
A vital part of our travel to and from meets is having our drivers registered with UW-Madison. If we do not have enough authorized drivers, we cannot travel to meets. Please fill the following steps. It takes about 5 minutes and you do not have to drive if you don’t want to. Go to https://fleetportal.wi.gov/ and follow the steps below to register to be a driver.

Select “UW” for "Type of Employee." Select “UW-Madison” from the dropdown box. Press Go.

Log in with your NetID and password

Click on the link for Vehicle Use Agreement (VUA) and complete with your information.

Upload a driving abstract if you have an out-of-state license

Use Paul Joseph for Supervisor Name and paul.joseph@wisc.edu for the Supervisor Email

Use “UA801500 - MSN\REC SP\CLUB SPORTS\CLUB SP” for the UW UDDS Code

Hit the submit button. The Sports Programs office will notify you if you’re denied or approved.

Training Trip Information Session
When: October 2, 7:00 PM
Where: Union South (Room TBA)
A group of SCUW members will spend a week in Florida over winter break to practice and enjoy the sun! This is an annual event and is always a memorable, fun time. The itinerary this year includes daily practice, beach volleyball, relaxing, and a trip to Miami! We will be done before practice that night. If you are interested - please stop by, no commitment is required. If you cannot make the meeting or have any questions, reach out to Lauren.

UW Varsity Intrasquad Meet
When: Friday, October 7th, 3:00 pm
Where: Soderholm Family Aquatic Center (Nick pool)
The UW Swim Team will be running an Intrasquard meet and needs timers. If you are available to time, please follow this link to sign up! Please arrive by the pool by 2:30 and be ready to time. The meet should not take more than 2 hours, and will likely be done by 5.

Registration:
Registration is almost over! The BEST way to go through the registration process is to go to our website and go through the step-by-step process under the “Join” tab. Please complete the first three registration steps ASAP. If not finished you may risk no being able to practice staring this Sunday.
IM Leagues:
1. Visit IMLeagues and sign in with your NetID. Click on the “Intramural Sports” banner to continue to IMLeagues.
2. Click the “Sports Clubs” link at the top of the page (near your initials).
3. Look for “Swim Club UW” and click “Join”.
4. Complete the “Membership Consent Form 22-23” and the “University of Wisconsin Supplemental Health Waiver 22-23”.
*After FRIDAY, you will not be able to participate until you complete these forms*
Wisconsin Involvement Network:
Please join our WIN page by simply searching up Swim Club University-Wisconsin on the WIN page and clicking “Join”, once approved by an officer member you will have checked another box off on the registration list!
Active:
You’ll use ACTIVE to register for meets and pay club dues. Dues are $55 for the Fall semester. Your dues allow us to rent space at the Nick. There is an option to pay for membership for the whole year for only $100 if you'd like to choose that option. Membership dues are required to be paid within the first two weeks of the season. You can access Active anytime using https://swimportal.active.com. Once you have registered for Active check your email for a confirmation email where you will receive the link to our club's Group-Me chat!
College Club Swimming:
Registration for College Club Swimming (CCS) will take place later this season and will be where you sign up for the Central Regional Championships and National Championship meets later this year.
