Join us for our Book Sale Oct. 6-8

(We need your help October 4 and update on Book Bash)

The Friends of the Elkins Public Library will host their annual Fall Book Sale at the Elkins Community Center starting with a Member's Only Day on 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, October 6. The sale is open to the public 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 7 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, October 8. All items are 50 cents each until Saturday, when its $2 per bag. All proceeds go to support the Friends of the Elkins Public Library, which supports the Library's programs.

We need your help!
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of books to transport from the Library to the Community Center. We will have access to a trailer Tuesday, October 4, at 4p.m. We need volunteers to help load the trailer and then unload it at the community center. We are still working on times for cleaning up afterward and will share that information on our Facebook page. It will depend on what and how many books are leftover after the sale. Please contact 479.531.1685 if you are able to volunteer to help us on October 4.

Book Bash canceled
The library had initially planned to host a Book Bash with games, etc. on the Saturday of the book sale. Book Bash is canceled for this Fall due to recent developments.

Donate your books/movies

Have a full bookshelf (and wanting to get more at our book sale)? We always accept donations of new or gently used books that we either incorporate into our collection or sell at your bi-annual book sale. To donate in time for October's sale, please have all donations at the library no later than Friday, September 30 during regular hours. Please do not include textbooks, reader’s condensed books, or encyclopedias.
