We'd like to bring to your attention the details of some exciting charity events coming up over the next month and hope to encourage support for the local businesses involved, either by sharing, attending, sponsoring or offering a raffle prize.
Read on to find out about the Mint Velvet Swap party, a great eco-friendly charity event; the Macmillan charity fashion show which gives our local fashion retailers the chance to showcase their Autumn/Winter collections and the popular wine tasting event by Martinez, who are inviting businesses to advertise in their tasting brochure (includes tickets to the event!)
Mint Velvet Swap Party
Wednesday 5th October 2022 5.30pm- 7.30pm
Mint Velvet are hosting an exclusive event designed to extend the lifecycle of the clothes already in our own wardrobes. Bring 3-5 pre-loved items of clothing or accessories that are in great condition, but you just don’t wear anymore and swap them for someone else’s treasures!

They are also asking for voluntary donations to theWardrobe Foundation, an excellent charity that provides gorgeous clothing gift bags to women in need.
Ilkley Macmillan Platinum Fashion Show 2022

This year's Macmillan charity fashion show will feature the Autumn/Winter 2022 fashion collections from our local menswear and womenswear independents. The evening will include time for you to shop and enjoy an array of local stall holders selling lots of lovely gifts and treats. It’s the perfect time to do a bit of early Christmas shopping, followed by a light supper, seated in the beautiful ballroom at the Craiglands Hotel.
There will also be a raffle, with prizes donated by generous local individuals and businesses.

Martinez Wine Tasting Extravaganza
Tuesday 1st November 2022
2pm-8pm
Every year Martinez hosts a charity wine tasting event at the Kings Hall and Winter Garden which attracts over 250 people. All profits from this event are donated to the Save The Children charity and 100% of the door raffle goes to Macmillan.
This year for the first time local businesses are invited to advertise in the tasting brochure which is handed out to all attendees on the day of the event. This is an ideal opportunity to advertise your business at a low cost to a captive 250+ local audience.

Full A5 page- £250. Includes 4 Free entry tickets (£120 value) to the event.
½ A5 Page- £125. Includes 2 Free entry tickets (£60 value) to the event.
Donate a raffle prize
Any business that offers a raffle prize will be mentioned and their logo will be displayed in the tasting brochure.
Corporate or staff event ticket discount
This is also an ideal opportunity to make this either a corporate or staff event.
Additional tickets if advertising or purchasing 6 or more the ticket price is £25 (Full ticket price is £30)
Private Wine Master Class
Hosted by Utopia wines in a private area during the event
‘Argentina beyond Malbec, £20pp Min 20 persons. A 6-wine insight into Argentina and its wines lasting 40 minutes.
