SETU at the Ploughing 

South East Technological University (SETU) has expanded its offering of agricultural programmes with the launch of new degrees in Agri-Systems Engineering and Organic Agriculture at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co Laois.  Details here.

Apprenticeships Update

Registrations growing; more new apprenticeships on the way; €2,000 annual grant for ‘new’ apprenticeships; €2,666 gender bursary available. Details here.

Artificial Intelligence Skills Report
A recent report (EGFSN) on AI Skills is of interest to employers and educators alike.
It states that AI is one of the technologies with the greatest potential for transformation in all areas of productive activity. However, skills gaps and shortages are the biggest barriers to the adoption of AI technologies. The report identified that the top 3 technical skills required by users & innovators of AI are Machine Learning, AI Applications and Data Processing & Management. Full report here.
