Fall Choral Concert

You are formally invited to join us October 3rd at 6:30 PM in the Lakeway Christian Academy Performing Arts Center to celebrate our middle school and high school choirs. Students will perform a variety of musical selections and admissions is free. We hope to see you there.

School Nutrition Reminders

As a reminder from our School Nutrition team, breakfast and lunch accounts are pre-paid. Please note that if student accounts are not pre-paid, balances can go in the negative and eventually create blocks on making purchases.

Pre-paying a week at a time is not required but can be a great way to stay ahead of negative balances.

LCA Middle School lunches for a week total to $21.25
LCA High School lunches for a week total to $22.50

You can review your balances now in the financial section of the parent portal at https://lake-tn.client.renweb.com/pwr/. Please note that due balance notifications also come from the FACTS system each weekend--generally overnight Saturday or early Sunday morning. Please check your email spam folder and unblock FACTS as a sender if you are not receiving any expected emails.

7th Grade Immunization Requirement

All families of 7th grade students please review the following message from LCA School Nurse, Lindi Thomas:

This is a reminder that all seventh-grade students must have their required Tdap immunization up to date. We are required by the state to have copies of ALL up-to-date immunizations on file here at school. These must be printed on a TN Department of health form from your student's doctor or health department. If you are scheduling an appointment for your student to receive the Tdap, please let me know. Football Needs Content Creators!

Football is looking for Content Creators!

Do you enjoy creating content? Do you have a passion for music, video, photography, social media or web design? The Lakeway high school football team is looking to build a team of assistants that would like to learn more about content creation, while building a portfolio that they can use after school!

We have a few different needs such as:

Filming for social media and other needs.
Editing content for social media.
Creating graphics for several purposes.
A practice DJ to select music and media for the video boards.
And more!

You could count this for community service hours, and we may be able to workout compensation for hard working individuals who stay committed!

Senior New York Trip

We are excited to share with our senior students the opportunity to Explore New York City! Lakeway Christian Academy is partnering with Joshua Expeditions to offer a capstone excursion for seniors to explore this beautiful city and grow together in fellowship.
If you’re ready to register and place your deposit, visit https://secureweb.joshuaexpeditions.org/travelerapp.aspx and use expedition number Y283. Registration and deposits are due by 9/15.
This year’s senior trip will be a chance to explore the Big Apple and serve the people who call it home. The trip will be Tuesday, March 14^th through Friday, March 17^th, 2023 (the week following Spring Break).

In New York City, students will visit:

Times Square,
Broadway,
Ellis Island,
Central Park,
Madison Square Garden Arena,
and many more memorable sites.

The cost is of this trip is $1700 for the standard student traveler. Fundraising opportunities will be provided. (This price is subject to change based on the number of travelers, so be sure to let Mrs. Mansour know you are interested right away.) Parents are invited to travel as well. Guardian pricing is dependent on rooming.

Each week we want to highlight a member of our Lakeway Family Association who donates their time an effort to make Lakeway such a great place to be. This week we're especially thankful for Shanci Robinson!

My name is Shanci Robinson and I serve as the Lakeway Family Association Chairperson. My husband, Gary Robinson, and I have been a part of the Lakeway family for eight years now. Our daughter, Abigail, attends Lakeway and is in seventh grade and our son, Jacob, attends Cornerstone in third grade.

My heart to serve comes from my background in education. I have spent 12 years in the classroom as a teacher. Because of that, my desire is to love on the teachers and staff so that they can serve our students and families with excellence. I believe that having a loving work environment allows teachers to feel more treasured and therefore able to pour into their students more. We have been blessed by the teachers that have brought our children closer to Jesus during our time at Lakeway and Cornerstone. Throughout the year, the goal of LFA is to allow families the opportunity to pour back into the teachers and staff that have given so selflessly to our children.
