SEMC Prayer Requests
Luke 10:25-37

  • Brianna Bryce:  Brianna is due to give birth to their second child on October 5.  Please pray for God to give her strength over these next few weeks, to watch over the baby's life and to prepare Brianna, Armand and Amy to welcome their new addition to the family.
  • Would you pray for people to drawn into a deeper relationship with God through faith in Jesus. For some that is a first time decision. For others it’s a willingness to be baptized as a demonstration of their faith in Jesus. For still others it’s a commitment to serve others sacrificially.
  • Let's pray for one another. We must continue to be pro-active in caring for one another, our friends and neighbours as well as ourselves. May we do our part in helping, protecting and enhancing the well-being of others, while being mindful of how we can serve those in need with the grace and truth of Jesus.  (SPRinG)
  • Continue to pray for the mom and 2 young children that we are hoping to help get to Canada.  They are still waiting for some details to be cleared up so that they are able to travel here.  May God grant them favour and expediency in these matters.
  • As Ukraine continues to come under attack from Russia, there are many areas for us to be in conversation with Jesus. In addition to those mentioned previously, we need to pray for those left behind, those left alone, for children, the elderly and the poor who can not defend themselves. At this pace, it is believed that every family in Ukraine, will have directly been impacted by the death of a loved one as We need to be in prayer for people on both sides of the border. We need to pray for the peace of Jesus among nations and within people.
  • We give thanks for the opportunity to serve the needs of local agencies. Let's continue to ask God to lead us to the places where His resources can be best used for His Kingdom work in our community.
  • May we continue to talk to Jesus for the healing of our nation in the wake of the discovery of a growing number of unmarked graves of first nations children on the sites of a former residential schools across the country.  May God grant comfort to those who mourn, and grace to those who seek to understand.  May the peace of God bring confession and reconciliation to our nation. Click here for some additional resources to help you and your family learn more about First Nations issues in Canada.
  • The St. Clair Community Church in Sombra, ON, are in a Search Process for a Lead Pastor.  Pray to God for wisdom and direction throughout this process.
  • Let's also be in prayer for our denominational leadership (EMCC).
  • Let's continue to pray for our community in regards to the proposed closing of Enbridge Line 5. We give thanks for recent movement on this, on a federal level, on both sides of the border. Pray for our civic, provincial and federal officials as they negotiate solutions.
