We covered a lot of territory all over Douglas County last week! Let’s move into October with an even stronger showing this weekend.  

Don't live in a walkable neighborhood?  Already knocked doors in your area?  There are still many areas that need additional help!

The DCGOP palm cards will be available later this week.  See what they'll look like at the very bottom of this update. 
 

Huge Super Saturady GOTV Effort this Week (Oct 1)
Saturday at 9:30am  Highlands Ranch (HD43)

Our biggest coordinated effort this cycle will take place Saturday.  This is a combined event with a federal and a statewide candidate, as well as many local candidates.  We all know the demographic changes in HD43.  We must protect it with great determination.

JeffCo had 120+ volunteers for a similar event Saturday.  How will DougCO show?

Even if you don't live in HD43, please consider traveling to Highlands Ranch to support this effort.

Meet at the Concentra Parking lot near University and Colorado Blvd.  Please arrive before the 9:30am start time.

Lit Stuffing for Super Saturday:
 

In preparation for this week's big walk, we need to ensure we have enough literature ready for everyone.

Help assemble campaign literature bags this week in support of our great candidates and Super Saturday GOTV efforts.

Lessons Learned / Tips:

Tip:
Remove your sunglasses.  Before knocking on a door, remove your sunglasses so you can make eye contact with the resident.

Maintaining eye contact during your conversation shows sincerity, friendliness, and that you are paying attention to the person. 

Key Topics that work:
Focus on crime.  Colorado’s violent crime rate is at a 25 year high and the prison recidivism rate is nearly 50% - one of the worst in the country.  

As Attorney General, John Kellner will be tough on crime by establishing tougher penalties for repeat offenders and keeping violent criminals in prison.
