A Movie

Saturday, October 1st at 1pm
This month's movie is Roald Dahl's The Witches, rated PG. We’ll supply the movie and the popcorn , but feel free to bring your own snacks & drinks.
Bring something comfy to sit on.
Open to all ages, registration is not required.

Wednesdays from 6pm to 7:45pm

Whether you know how to play chess or would like to learn, just come on over! If you have a board, bring it along, but boards will be made available. We’ll also have Magic: The Gathering & Pokémon cards here if you’d like to play with those. If you have your own cards,you can bring them too!

In Stitches

Wednesdays, October 12th & 26th at 1pm.
Open to all patrons interested in needlecrafts. The group meets every other Wednesday. Call 845-832-6605 for more info.

Card Making

Saturday, October 1st from 10:30am-12:30pm
Stop by our Community Room for this card making event to thank our first responders and members of the military. We will have lots of fun decorating supplies to help you create heartfelt greetings. Supplies will also be available through October 12th for pick up. Operation Gratitude will distribute the cards for us on October 15th. Open to all ages. No registration required.

Adult Movie Night

Thursday, October 27th at 7pm
We'll be watching the movie Elvis (rated PG-13) Feel free to bring a comfy folding chair.
No sign up required for this adult program.

One of the best ways is to join the Friends of the Dover Plains Library!

The Friends is a group operating under the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of the Dover Plains Library whose purpose is to generate important financial assistance for the Dover Plains Library through fundraising, advocacy and membership dues.
We are looking for Friends to help establish our new Friends group.

The library now has a puzzle exchange! Bring a puzzle to take a puzzle.
We welcome puzzles for all ages. This is a great way to swap out all of those puzzles you've already completed, that are sitting in a pile in your closet and taking up space!!
The puzzle exchange is located inside the main library, through the 'Reference' doorway, and a quick turn to the right! The puzzles are on the shelf across from the card catalog computer and below the audiobooks!

Help support the library and let everyone know where YOU go to get lit!!
(We mean LITERATURE, lol!!) We have purple shirts in adult unisex sizes from M to XXL. While supplies last! Suggested donation is $15.
