High Street Road Re-surfacing
We have been advised that road linings on Cherry Hinton High Street are scheduled to be refreshed from Robin Hood Pub junction to the roundabout at Chelwood Road.  These works are scheduled to start week commencing 26th September but is weather dependent.  The final date has not been confirmed but it is likely to take 2-night shifts and 1 day.  The stretch between Chelwood Road & Coldhams Lane will be undertaken on a separate date as there will need to be permission from Network Rail with regards to the rail crossing.
Our local Covid Clinics need volunteers.
Combined covid and flu clinics are being arranged (likely to be 1st of October at both Cornford House Surgery and Fulbourn Health Centre, running from 8.30 until 17.00 with a 30 minute gap at 12.30).  There's then another clinic up at Fulbourn on the 15th running for the same hours.
The team are looking at just over 2 hours stints from 08.15 - 10.30 and 10.15 - 12.30 for the morning, and 12.45 - 15.00 and 14.45 - 17.00 ,to allow a little transition period.  If you are free to help please email chragroup@outlook.com by 27th September and we will pass on your details to the organiser.  (Please include a telephone number and whether you are are able to help out at Fulbourn or Cornford House).
Art Exhibiton at St Andrew's Cherry Hinton
A big thank you to local artist Gerard M O’Keeffe, who contacted Cherry Hinton Hub recently and offered to set up an exhibition of his work. Proceeds from sales will go to Cherry Hinton Hub (50%) and St. Andrew’s Church (20%).  Prices will range from £20 to no more than £200. This is a great chance to own or gift an original piece of artwork while raising money for your community. The exhibition and sale will be held on: Saturday 1st October and Sunday 2nd October, 1–5 pm, at St Andrew’s Church. Just drop in! Ahead of the exhibition opening, there will be a preview and a drinks reception on the evening of Friday 30th September where you can chat to Gerard about his work over a glass of wine. The event is free to attend, but if you are interested in going along please email: hello@cherryhintonhub.org or register your interest on the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/2280349535455768
