A Special Concert by the Schwob Philharmonic
Sunday, October 2 at 4 pm, Legacy Hall at the RiverCenter
The congregation is invited to a special concert to celebrate the establishment of the Barbara C. and Clifford J. Swift III Distinguished Chair for the Director of the Joyce and Henry Schwob School of Music, made possible by a gift given by the Swifts before Clifford died last year. Through their service to St. Thomas and to the wider community, Bobsie and Clifford have sought to ensure the growth and prosperity of Columbus for generations to come. Their quiet philanthropy supported Historic Columbus and the Columbus Museum so that future generations would not forget our history. They established an endowed scholarship for string instrument students at the Schwob School of Music in 2015. Through the establishment of this endowed faculty chair the Swifts have ensured the Schwob School will always have the exceptional leadership it needs to flourish as one of the top tier music schools in the country. They also gave a generous gift to St. Thomas last year which launched our strategic planning process focused on helping St. Thomas thrive for years to come.

Challenges WE Face
as part of the
Worldwide Anglican Communion

Sunday mornings 9:30 in the Library & Zoom
WE are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion – over 85 million of us in more than 165 countries. What challenges do WE face as we deal with our ministry in and around Columbus, yet part of that much larger family? We will consider this during our Sunday Adult Formation sessions this Fall.
This Sunday, Rev. Grace leads the group in a consideration of two of the "Lambeth Calls" for the coming decade: the challenges of "Anglican Identity" and of "Mission & Evangelism." We invite you to examine these documents at Lambeth Calls, pp. 8-10 and pp. 3-4, respectively. Although the documents deal with the Anglican Communion as a whole, how might these inform and shape our life and ministry as St. Thomas Episcopal Church?
