Referendum items on your ballot
You may have this County Referendum on your ballot (Brown County does):

Should the State of Wisconsin prohibit election officials from soliciting or using private funds, technology, or services from special interest groups, people, or other private entities for the purpose of administering elections and referendums?
 We recommend to VOTE NO!
This stems from the 2020 election during the pandemic when over 200 municipalities that took money from a non-profit to help cover the costs of PPP, paid for additional drop boxes, 24-7 monitoring of those drop boxes, increased pollworker pay (as older folks were no longer participating), increased voter education online and print.

The Republican dominated Wisconsin Legislature would not step up to help municipalities fund the increased cost of the 2020 election. They don't want others to step up and make sure elections are not compromised in the future due to lack of funding.

The wording makes the vote confusing, you need to VOTE NO to NOT PROHIBIT outside funding.
School Funding Referendums
There are probably school district referendums on your ballot since the majority of school districts are struggling with budget issues due to lack of appropriate funding at the state level and many public education dollars being syphoned off to vouchers.

Check with your school district for more detailed information regarding what is being proposed. Most of these are probably justified and necessary.
Municipality and County Referendums

Tri-County Influence Campaign
Scroll below for the newly formed
Northern Counties Information Group (NCIG)
.

The Tri-County Influence Campaign (TIC) began as a small group of Democrats frustrated by the lack of party visibility and signage in Northeast Wisconsin.  Determined that our Great Lake state would no longer be flooded in a sea of red, we got to work. Raising money. Building a top-notch volunteer staff. Creating billboards and radio ads. Putting up signs, and spreading the message.

In just a few months, that message—“Vote for Democrats, They Vote for Us” — has spread not only throughout our Tri-County region, but in places as far away as upstate New York, Eugene, OR, Seattle, OR, San Francisco, CA, Carroll County, GA, Dickensen County, MI. Yes, folks, our laser-focused campaign has gone nationwide!

Apparently our message really resonates! Folks are tired of watching our elected officials have to fight an uphill battle to pass any legislation that actually helps their consituents. Equally tired of the empty and angry rhetoric from the other side.

Along the way we have proved another point that is equally powerful. Don’t wait on other people or institutions to lead – roll up your sleeves, get to work, and create something.

Dozens of people so far have donated money and time to contribute to our success. We have blown past our original goals but, if donations keep coming there is still more we can do. We never dreamed of doing commercials on “Top 40” radio and now we’ve just booked three weeks worth on Star 98 FM!. Thanks to your financial support!

We are in the home stretch to the midterms. Our opponents have deep pockets as you are probably aware. Are you ready to get off the sidelines and help elect Democrats? Join us, and give it a “TRI!”

Here is what we have been up to

After raising funds, we designed and coordinated the placement of several different billboards. Our original goal was three billboards. We have now placed nine billboards! Watch for our jump around billboards in these locations:
  • Sept 19 - 25        Hwy 41 at Scheuring Rd.
  • Sept 26 - Oct 2   East Mason St.
  • Oct 3 - Oct 9       Hwy 41 at Oneida
  • Oct 10 - 16          Hwy 29 at Maplewoods Meat
  • Oct 17 - 23          Hwy 41 at Scheuring Rd.
  • Oct 24 - 30          East Mason St. at Military Ave.
                                University Ave at Henry St.
                                Main St. at Limekiln Rd.
  • Oct 1 - Nov 7       Hwy 41 at Oneida St.
Watch for new billboards popping up around town! This one is on the Mason Street bridge. See schedule above so you know when and where to look!
Signs! Signs! Everywhere are our signs!

Many signs (4' x 8' and 4' x 4') have been placed in prominent locations in all three counties. The smaller yard signs were ordered by Tri-Counties (Door, Kewaunee, Brown) as well as other counties, who saw ours and wanted to have them too (Marinette, Waupaca, Rusk, Green Lake, Green, Waushara, Washington, Iron Mountain, MI). There are still requests for signs, we are debating whether another order should be placed.
Have you heard our radio ads?

Radio ads are playing on Door and Kewaunee radio stations and now will also play in Brown County! A wide variety of videos have been produced for Social Media and now the focus will be on sharing and using Facebook ads to diseminate.

You can see a wide variety of shareable content on the TIC Facebook Page. PLEASE SHARE via Facebook, email or text. TIC Facebook page link listed in separate section below.

How the Dems help Door County
In order to keep it beautiful we need to protect the environment, maintain roads, and protect the wellbeing of Wisconsonites who live and vacation there.
Democrats have delivered BIG for Kewaunee County
to the tune of $4 million in infrastructure, school, small business and farm investments. And don't forget the biggest investment of all - $19M for the Algoma breakwater!!
Important Democratic sponsored legislation that you probably didn't hear reported on the news.
Billboard featuring the mainstay of Wisconsin - our great farming community!
As goes Northeast Wisconsin, so goes Wisconsin!

This election is important. Northeast Wisconsin is the purple area of the state. We MUST win here to affect what happens in the state and in Madison! To do this we need YOUR BOOTS on the ground!

Please volunteer to canvass!
It is actualy much more rewarding than phone banking.

Get a carload of experienced canvassers and newbees and PAIR UP to work a neighborhood together! Then stop for a snack to share experiences and get to know each other.
