September has been a busy month for WesleyKU! Blessings on the Go is back on campus, offering students a snack bar blessing and friendly faces each Wednesday on Wescoe Beach. With the nice weather, we held our first three worship services of the year around a campfire, complete with s’mores. Our first Coffeehouse Worship of the fall featured students and pastors sharing music, original poetry, studio design work, culinary talents, and more! And, our Dungeons and Dragons Campaign and One-Shots have returned. This week kicked off our third annual “We ‘Aloe’ You” plant give-away. Check out our Instagram, @westwoodhouseku, or our e-news to learn more.

The Big Garden is on the move! We have graded the new site on the west side of the parking lot on West Campus and installed a water line. Cabbage has already been planted for the fall. Six new apple trees will be planted in mid-October and we are almost ready to build the raised beds! If you are interested in helping with the bed construction, please contact Dan Harden at dan.harden@bgcons.com or Laura Irick at l.irick@sbcglobal.net.
In the current garden location, we have delivered 1,089 lbs of fresh produce to Just Food so far this season, and we have turnips, beets, okra, peppers, radishes, and chard still to harvest. Another great season! Many thanks to all the volunteers who have worked, fellowshipped, and worshipped in the garden that God loves.
