Legacy of the Elaine 12, American Heroes 103rd Anniversary Commemoration of Elaine Massacre
On Friday, October 7, 2022, the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project at Northeastern University School of Law will host an all-day hybrid conference to mark the launch of the CRRJ Burnham-Nobles Archive. The Archive, a digital collection of a thousand cases — the documentary evidence of anti-Black racial killings from 1930-1955 in the Jim Crow South — will be made available to the general public on September 27.
The conference will bring together scholars, practitioners and descendants of the victims whose cases are featured in the Archive. We’ll also be hailing the release of my book, By Hands Now Known: Jim Crow’s Legal Executioners, to be published on September 27.
Please register below for the October 7th hybrid conference and share with others.
