September Partner Update

Well September has been quite a month.  Queen Elizabeth II was often the reason people visited Great Britain and we have always celebrated her close connection to Lancashire, which she visited often.  May she rest in peace.

This week lots of shortlisting has been taking place.  The finalists in the final four categories of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2022 will be announced early next week.  Look out for some breaking news on the Large Event of the Year, Small Event of the Year, Taste Lancashire Producer of the Year and Unsung Hero categories.     
  
In September we welcomed new Visit Lancashire Partners The Hole in Wanda magical nine-hole golf adventure in Blackpool and CrocArt Masters, the organisers of Preston Tattoo Convention, an annual event bringing award winning artists together from across the world.  Meltemi Ltd, a Preston uniform specialist have joined as supplier partners and there are more details about them below.  We thank them all for their support and look forward to working in partnership over the coming year and beyond.

New Lancashire tourism figures for 2021 show sector in post-pandemic recovery 

34 million more visitor days and nights than in 2020*, have been recorded, and more than double the 2020 economic impact.

The county’s annual STEAM report, which evaluates the volume and value of visitors to Lancashire, has been released.  The report analyses data from tourism and hospitality businesses gathered for 2021 and shows the county recovering steadily from the impact of the Covid pandemic.

Government outlines plans to help cut business energy bills

Non-domestic energy customers including businesses, charities and public sector organisations in Great Britain will be able to benefit from a new Government scheme to cut bills.

The Energy Bill Relief Scheme discount will automatically be applied by your supplier to eligible bills to cover your business’s energy usage from 6 October until 31 March 2023.

Taste Lancashire Conference stall holder opportunity
