SEPTEMBER 2022

ISSUE: #09

Looking ahead for the rest of 2022

Kia Orana ki to tatou au kōpu tangata o te eFAMILIES.

What an eventful month we have had.  Transitioning to the Government’s recent removal of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and a roller coaster ride with some of those All Blacks results! There have certainly been some highlights in September – celebrating our fathers and father figures on Father’s Day and recognising students who graduated from Universities across Aotearoa.

This month we wanted to share with you the upcoming events and opportunities that you and your family may like to take part in – Pasifika festivals, fashion shows, business opportunities and giveaways – this edition has got you covered.

Finally, we also wanted to take the time to acknowledge Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW), from Sunday 26 September to Sunday 2 October. This year’s MHAW theme is ‘Reconnect - with the people and places that lift you up’. We know that the past couple of years have been tough and it’s easy to feel disconnected from the people and things that are important to us. So, we encourage you all to take time to reconnect with the people and places that lift you up and enhance your wellbeing - hei pikinga waiora. For more information about MHAW here.

 Meitaki ma’ata e kia manuia.
