There is an Ebola outbreak in Western Uganda. Twenty three people have died to date. Pray for our missionaries, staff, kids, families, and all the people of Uganda, that they would all be protected. Pray that there would not be a spirit of fear. Pray that people would be wise, and that the Lord would remove this outbreak from the country.

Pray for our staff in Ghana and Uganda:
Ghana
Georgette, a teacher at Haven of Hope Academy passed away. Pray for Georgette's family, for strength and comfort at this time, as well as the Haven of Hope/Haven of Hope Academy family, particularly her students.
Abby, ECM Ghana Treasurer was found to have a tumor in her abdomen that was causing her issue. The tumor was removed with surgery, and Abby is back home. She is waiting on biopsy results.
Richard, Ghana Next Step coordinator, has been named Interim National Director. Pray for Richard as he learns his new role overseeing the staff and work in Ghana.
Uganda
There are three open positions in Uganda that need to be filled. Pray for wisdom for Brian (National Director) and Sophie (Programs Manager) as they seek to fill these positions.

Caroline has been able to eat and watch TV, and we just found out is now able to talk! She's been eating potatoes. 😊 All the breathing equipment has been removed and she is fully breathing on her own! 🙌 The doctor said they will monitor her for a few more weeks, and make their final determination on when she can travel home. Her father continues to be with her and is doing ok. Our Coordinator Alex has traveled back to Uganda a couple times but comes back to encourage and support Caroline & her father and get updates.
Continue to pray for Caroline's recovery. Pray that she would be able to travel home soon. Pray that we would receive more detailed information that we can share about how the doctor felt the surgery went, and next steps.

Shoe Fundraiser
We had not been getting a lot of shoes, so have extended our Shoe Fundraiser until November 4. Pray that the one month extension will bring lots more shoes, so we can in turn help more kids! For those local, please tell your friends & family!
Banquet
ECM's Share the Hope Banquet is Friday, November 4. Pray for all the details to come together. Pray for good attendance and a good offering. Pray that attendees would feel they get good updates on the work being done. Pray that the Lord would be glorified and lifted up that evening.

Pray for our new Child Sponsorship Coordinator, Krystal Luckey, who just took over the position from Alexandria. Pray that she would have good understanding in this complex and detailed job. Pray that as she has more understanding, that she would have ideas how to improve things.
Pray for U.S. staff still struggling with some issues from the donor database conversion from Kindful to SiteStacker. Pray that problems would be resolved, and that new issues would not continue to happen. Pray for the extra burden of time these issues create for staff.
