"Pick-up Choir" This Sunday
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to sing in the choir, or if you're a more experienced singer wanting to share your gift of music in harmony... now's your chance! Everyone is welcome. We'll gather at 8:10am Sunday morning to rehearse a piece that we'll then sing at the 9:00am service. Email for more details, or if you'd like to be on the email to receive the music ahead of time.

Donation Support for Migrants from Texas
LMC will be collecting supplies for migrants who have been bused to Chicago from Texas in recent weeks. The city has asked for only new items, such as specific toiletries, warm clothing, toys, and duffel bags. LMC will collect items for the next couple of weeks. Please see the list of needs here. Please reach out to Pastor Lindsay if you would like to purchase a donation online and have it sent directly to church or one of the volunteers.

Many Thanks to Those Serving in Christopher's Lay Committee!
In the Lutheran Church (ELCA), lay committees play an integral part in the formation of future rostered leaders. They meet regularly to provide guidance and feedback to an intern, as well as to provide written reports that inform the Church as to the intern's progress during their internship. For Christopher's lay committee here at LMC, 4 faithful parishioners have agreed to serve the Church with their time and talents:
- Alison Blaser
- Toietta Dixon
- Diane Betten, and
- Jim Hilliard

Men's Gathering
As we head into fall, it would be great to resume our men's get-togethers. Let's connect with each other, catch up, share our company, snacks and drinks! This will be an informal get-together to catch up, to get to know new members, and allow folks to connect who haven’t met each other yet.
Christian Kern will have some non-alcoholic beverages and beer as well as some snacks. If you have a favorite drink or snack, feel free to bring it along! The event is Saturday, October 8, at 7pm in Christian's backyard. To RSVP or for any questions, email Christian.
