#WECAREABOUTLA
Today, we release our report examining the record-breaking 480 programs, projects, and initiatives submitted to this year’s LA2050 Grants Challenge.

In the report, we dive into the voting results and proposal data while exploring the seven social impact trends that emerged through this year’s submissions
– from trauma-informed action to a lack of public transit solutions. The trends shed light on the issues Angelenos are most focused on and the innovative strategies they're using to tackle them. You don't want to miss this!

SUE'S FAVE FIVE
SUE BELL YANK | Executive Director, Clockshop

My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY:  I love taking a long walk along the LA River Bike Path right near Clockshop, grabbing a bite at Spoke Bicycle Cafe, and trying to catch a glimpse of a blue heron in the river bed.

CREATE:  I have loved experiencing Jimena Sarno's "Score for Here" project at Los Angeles State Historic Park, which is an artist-designed app where you can design new compositions based on where you walk in the park.

CONNECT:  I am constantly inspired by my colleagues working to protect our public lands and natural resources, and provide more access to green space for all Angelenos equitably – the Los Angeles River State Park Partners, Community Nature Connection, Friends of the LA River, The Nature Conservancy, People for Mobility Justice, North East Trees, and many others.

LEARN:  I'm constantly learning more about the major affordability challenges Angelenos are facing, and I have to give it up to the brilliant folks at the Anti-Eviction Mapping Project, who have creatively and visually mapped displacement.

LIVE:  One of my favorite memories of being with my fellow Angelenos in celebration and joy was flying a kite with my kids at Clockshop's People's Kite Festival in May at LA State Historic Park. Look out for the next iteration of this annual event on clockshop.org or sign up for our monthly newsletter!
