Sunday School and Wednesday Night Live Volunteers Needed!
Are you looking for just the right way to get involved at our church?! Do you like learning about the bible? Do you like playing with blocks and play-doh or doing arts and crafts? We have the perfect role for you! Join us as a Sunday School volunteer! Sunday School leaders help instruct our Pre-K - 5 th grade students from 9:40-10:25 on Sunday mornings and are such a valued part of ministry here at LCR!
You do not have to have kids in the program or any experience teaching Sunday School! Our students love to get to know new adults and learn right alongside you as we study our way through both old and new testament stories using games, crafts, experiments, and other adventures to guide our learning! Sunday School starts officially on Sep 18 th and runs every week from 9:40 to 10:25. Weekly volunteers, or those interested on a rotating basis would all be welcome!
Wednesday Night Live volunteers are also needed! We have a great group of kids to hang out with on Wednesday evenings, and we look forward to having a lot of fun together!

Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, October 9 at 1:30 pm
BRING YOUR "OTHER FAMILY" TO CHURCH TO BE BLESSED!
In the Lutheran Church, one way we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, who believed that nature and all of its creatures is a reflection of God, is to bless the animals. It is a time to remember how animals are a blessing in our lives, and that we have a responsibility to care for them and the environment.
All animals are welcome!
Invite your family and friends!

Collection For Ukraine Relief
The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has launched a call for donations to support the churches and people of Ukraine, who are fleeing their homes and seeking shelter, basic necessities such as food and water, following Russia’s military invasion of the country.
LWF General Secretary Rev. Anne Burghardt said this “support is vital for people desperately seeking shelter from the gunfire and bombing. Every donation counts.”
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection will collect donations and forward them to Lutheran World Federation. Check and cash donations can be dropped off at the church - please mark "Ukraine" in the memo. You can also donate online using our "Donate" button - select "Ukraine" in the dropdown, or Venmo to @resurrectionlutheran; comment "Ukraine."
Since we started collecting money, our congregation has raised $10,000 for Ukraine relief. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. You can stay up to date on Lutheran World Federation Activities by following their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lutheranworld
