The SWG submitted a report to this Committee and also presented to them at the hearing that was held in Tumut in Feb this year.

It is pleasing to note that the outcomes of this review are consistent and supportive of the position taken by SWG (and the industry more broadly) in regards to the need for plantation expansion in order to address the ongoing timber supply shortages. You may be interested to also note that the SWG report, and evidence provided, has been cited throughout the document.
