4.) “I can’t wait for the weekend.”
This is the person who is proud to say, "I’m willing to exchange 5 days of my life per week so I can go out to eat, get drunk, and be merry.”
These people don’t do anything on their days off to make their Mondays more valuable.
Make the most of today!
Whether its Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. Don’t hate your job, don’t wait for something to happen, and don’t tolerate it from others.
5.) “I’m too busy.”
The reason you can’t, is the reason you should.
Time is one of those wonderful constants that God created. It’s not a variable.
The excuse that “You don’t have the time” is a slap in the face to the Creator for not giving you enough hours in the day to create the life you deserve.
It’s like blaming your joint pain on the weather…
Start using the phrase “I didn’t use my time wisely today” and you’ll start finding ways to be more efficient.
6.) “You can take a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.”
This is a complete lie.
You can make any horse drink. Just feed him enough salt.
Dehydration, a severe lack of comfort, or displeasure and pain will make any horse drink on their own will.
In life, we all have to get place where we are so uncomfortable, “dehydrated”, displeased, etc that we have the desire to change (aka drink the water).
Too many of us have been drinking the kool-aid of comfort…
Some of us have the ability to make ourselves mentally uncomfortable (thirsty) everyday even when things are physicall going well.
But most need things to physically go wrong in order to activate motivation to change.
This could be… looking in the mirror and not liking what you see, being sick and tired of being sick and tired, sciatica, headaches, a diagnosis, having more month at the end of the money than money at the end of the month, it could be a drug addiction that made you hit rock bottom, maybe it was a heart attack, or watching a loved one die of cancer that finally motivates you for change.
Whatever it is… one thing is for sure.
Those who can mentally, day to day, make themselves uncomfortable have a much better chance of living a physical life of freedom-health than those who decide to take the easy way out.
Do what is hard today, so you can have an easy(er) tomorrow.
Life is an amazing teacher. We truly do reap what we sow…
Don’t be the ones who get taught the life lesson of bad decisions compounding over time resulting in a “random” heart attack, stroke, or cancer… or leave your family with the pieces of SADs “sudden adult death syndrome.”
Which brings us to the 7th dumb thing people say…
7.) “I’m getting my 6th covid booster… and there’s nothing you can do to change my mind!”
Just kidding. I guess there are dumb people.
