We are SO THRILLED to be coming back together In Real Life this Fall @ Theatre Direct:
~ Bring your whole family out to see Finding Home: A Salmon Journey up the Humber River presented at King’s Mill Park North, and then take in a vibrant interpretation of Peter and the Wolf at the Rutas Festival this October.
~ Sign up for the Creation Warehouse French or English PA Day programs taking place in our new studio, put on your costume and join us at our third annual Hallowe'en Hullabaloo and then parade with us on the solstice with our Wintertide Dragon along St. Clair West!
~ Emerging Artists – stay tuned for our annual Forward March Festival call for commissions this October and in the meantime, book a time to introduce yourself through Coffee and Collaborations.
~ Finally, on November 18th, get yourself out to Balancing Act’s in-person Conference of Care to take in artistic presentations and participate in panels and workshops. At the conference we’ll also introduce our 25+ organizational partners selected from coast to coast to coast to participate in Balancing Act’s Level UP! second cohort. (P.S. It’s a PA DAY, so PLEASE, bring your kids along – there will be childcare and children’s programming all day running alongside the conference!)

It’s back!
Creation Warehouse invites kids in our community to celebrate Hallowe’en through a unique participatory theatrical installation. 100 children in the surrounding community will receive craft items to design a Hallowe’en-themed creature at home and then come by Hallowe'en weekend to see the larger installation.

Four emerging artist companies or collectives that are pushing the boundaries and disrupting form, content, process and performance within their artistic practices will be commissioned to create brand new and site-specific theatrical creations for young people outdoors.

Save the date for our one-day conference, live and in-person in Toronto!
Aimed at caregivers, arts workers and arts leaders, A Conference of Care offers a day of panels, workshops, and artistic presentations exploring the intersection of art and care. The conference will also feature research and findings from Cohort 1 of our Level UP! Initiative, and introduce our 20+ Cohort Two Strategy Partners and their care-led pilot project plans for this season.
The conference has been scheduled on a TDSB/TCDSB PA Day and kids are invited too! We are pleased to offer free child care and children’s programming throughout the day, programmed by Theatre Direct’s Creation Warehouse as well as selected virtual sessions.

In the meantime, Balancing Act affinity groups for artist/arts worker caregivers continue online on the third Monday of each month.
