East Hampton Adopts Coastal Resiliency Plan

Low-lying East Hampton Town, which sits at the very tip of a long, low island could “physically transform into a series of islands,” as soon as 50 years from now, according to the Coastal Assessment Resiliency Plan for the town adopted unanimously by the East Hampton Town Board on Sept. 1.

Water Main Work Gets Underway as Grants are Sought for Manorville

The Suffolk County Water Authority is in the midst of two water main projects in Southold Town designed to greatly improve the distribution of water within the town.

This is in addition to a new transmission line from Route 105 in Riverhead to the Southold Town line that is currently in the permitting process.

Climate Change, Meet Carbon Crew

I first heard this during my third Carbon CREW session. We always started and ended with a quote.

While there are still a small number of people who don’t believe in anthropogenic climate change, and a bit larger number who think it won’t be as detrimental as scientists warn if left unaddressed, the majority of people are concerned about climate change and view it as an emergency.
