“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 NKJV
As a follower of Christ, my allegiance is seen in my relationship with Him and how I am walking in His ways.
My commitment to Him is seen in how I love.
Love is the firm foundation of everything I do.
Love for God is why I keep the Sabbath.
Love of God is my reason for reaching out.
God blesses us with His love that in return we can bless others who have yet to experience His love so they too may be in relationship with Him.
His love reaches into us. In return, it should reach out through us to others.
It has been said that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
The poet, Edgar Guest, said it well in “Sermons We See”:
I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
The eye’s a better pupil and more willing than the ear,
Fine counsel is confusing, but example’s always clear;
And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds,
For to see good put in action is what everybody needs.
I soon can learn to do it if you’ll let me see it done;
I can watch your hands in action, but your tongue too fast may run.
And the lecture you deliver may be very wise and true,
But I’d rather get my lessons by observing what you do;
For I might misunderstand you and the high advice you give,
But there’s no misunderstanding how you act and how you live.
May our lives be a true reflection of our allegiance to the God we love and serve. Let our actions be pleasing in His sight as we reach out into our communities with His Gospel message of Love.

Spirit of Prophecy & Adventist Heritage Sabbath
15 October 2022
The Seventh-day Adventist Church was born after the Great Disappointment of October 22, 1844. On that day, we remember our roots and the heritage that the pioneers of the movement we belong to left us.
This day is a time to draw closer to Jesus and connect with our spiritual roots as Seventh-day Adventists. Churches also use this day as an opportunity to see how God has led in the past and apply in their lives the lessons learned. It is also an opportunity to fellowship together.
You can access material and resources for the Adventist Heritage Sabbath at whiteestate.org/resources/sop
Also, check out the Lineage Journey videos. Lineage is a multi-faceted educational tool designed to help you understand your spiritual heritage and explore the links between the past, present and future. www.lineagejourney.com
You watch and share the “Tell the world” movie. The movie shares the compelling story of a small group of farmers from the northeast region of the United States who would go on to set the foundation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Ellen White and Contemporary Adventism
6 November | ONLINE
Seventh-day Adventists have a rich heritage of visionary pioneering people. Ellen White, one of the Church's founders, had a spiritual gift—being a special messenger for God. She wrote many books, letters and spiritual reflections that have been preserved for our benefit today. How do we make the best use of these writings now? The international and scholarly speakers at this symposium will answer this question from many angles that will enrich our understanding and application.
