Information about our Fall Tree planting

We are happy to bring you information information about the Family Tree Adoption Program (FTAP) of Prince George's County.

Prepare for Fall Planting, Take Action

FTAP is ready for fall tree planting. If you have made reservations, please look out for an email from our team. Check your spam folder for email from us. Do not delay. If you have friends and neighbors who need trees, tell them to visit our website myghep.org/freetrees. All reservations will be planted no later than the end of November 2022.

Host our Tree Planting Demo, Get 3 Free Trees

We will be hosting one community tree pIanting demonstration for our tree lovers. We are looking for a volunteer family to host our tree lovers. During the demonstration, we will plant up to 3 trees for you at no charge. All activities will be outdoors. Light beverages will be served by GHEP. Would you like to be our lucky host family? Please complete a short interest form to let us know. A team member will reach out to you to discuss.

Reporting Dying Trees, Time Sensitive

If your tree was planted by FTAP in the last 12 months, your trees may be eligible for replacement.
But in order to replace dying trees, time is of essence. Please let us know.
If your trees are dying or you are uncertain whether they are struggling to survive,

Our Digital Engagement Fellow

We are happy to announce that Juliana Schifferes, BA, has joined the Global Health and Education Projects, Inc. (GHEP) as our inaugural Digital Environment Fellow (DEF). In this position, she will be working to support GHEP’s strategic planning and communications around its environmental sustainability programs. This includes projects and activities centering on communications, administration, and program organization around GHEP’s Family Tree Adoption Program (FTAP) and the Health, Environmental Education, and Awareness program (HEEA).
