Scottish Tree Festival

The change in season brings a wealth of delights to our senses and with it the Scottish Tree Festival. At this time of year, we find the light in the garden mirrors the rich golden tones of autumn, inviting all to take time during the Festival to enjoy the fantastic events celebrating the season. From 24th September to 1st December, you can explore the best of Scotland's gardens and woodlands through a variety exciting events happening across the country.

If you're hoping to see a particular plant or colour display at a garden, please call ahead to ensure the plant is in bloom/colour is present, as the season varies across gardens in Scotland.

Scotland is calling...and with the October holidays just around the corner, Discover Scottish Gardens has made it easier to explore Scotland's gardens for days out that suit every member of the family. From children’s play areas, cycle paths and wheelchair access, to cafes and dog-friendly locations, visit our Days Out page and start planning the perfect day trip or staycation.

Please plan ahead to ensure the garden/grounds are open. Please also be aware of the weather forecast and how this may affect events.

Garden of the Season
Fyvie Castle - Aberdeenshire

In a corner of Scotland renowned for impressive castles, the pink-harled walls and fairytale turrets of Fyvie are amongst the finest in the county. The gardens are open 29th Aug- 30th October Thurs-Sun from 10:30am-4:30pm and daily during the October Holidays.
