Welcome to the September newsletter!

Autumn is coming full of events, news and new members! In this edition, we take a deeper look at the significance of the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca, a sacred monument erected in Slovenia after WWI as a reminder of the desire for peace and an awarded European Heritage Label site.

Among the various updates within our network, we are pleased to have started the month with four new members and interesting interviews: Esmee Stam tells us about career opportunities for young people in the field of heritage and Raúl Díaz remembers the mark that walking the St James Way pilgrimage trail with his father has left on him. Don't forget to check our events section and send in your picture/video for the Photo & Video competition (only until Sunday, 25 October).

Hot off the press, the report "Strengthening Cultural Heritage for Climate Change" is the first EU Commission report to address the challenge of climate change in the specific field of heritage. And if you are a local or regional administration with a cultural heritage project, also take a look at the Call for Good practices of the Cultural Heritage in Action programme.

To conclude, we invite you to reflect on the lack of recognition of Europe’s extensive Muslim heritage in our Notice Board and be amazed by the explosion of colour and mesmerising ornaments of the Hindu temples in Europe in our Religiana list.

See you next month!
