Returning to Minnesota, May 3-5, 2023

The IAP2 USA Midwest Chapter recently announced May 3-5, 2023, as the dates for its 2023 Spring Conference. Building on the momentum started at the 2022 conference in Eagan, MN, the 2023 Spring Conference will return to Minnesota's Twin Cities area. Conference details will be provided as conference planning progresses.

Help Us Choose a Conference Theme!

A conference theme helps us solicit and select sessions, plan for speakers and other events, and generally sets a shared learning goal for the conference. Your input is important in helping us ensure we select a theme that meets the needs and interests of our members. Following the initial Action Planning Workshop, the Conference Committee's Programming Work Group has narrowed potential conference themes down to two, and we'd like to hear which theme you prefer. Please indicate your preference through this 1-minute survey.

Call for Self Nominations

Are you interested in supporting the growth of the P2 profession in the Midwest? Do you want to support an annual regional conference, networking opportunities, or trainings that benefit Midwest Chapter members? Are you looking for leadership opportunities? Self-nomination for the IAP2 USA Midwest Chapter's Board of Directors is now open! Please consider joining the Board during this exciting time for our Chapter.

The Midwest Chapter Board has nine seats of staggered, three-year terms. Board members may serve up to three consecutive terms. The Board meets virtually once a month and leads the work of the chapter. Directors are active leaders and take responsibility for programs.

There are THREE seats open on the Board of Directors. Those elected will serve three-year terms (2023-2025), with the terms beginning in January 2023.

Self-nominations are due by October 10. Voting will occur October 17 to November 4, with the results announced November 11.

Join a Committee

Not ready to take the plunge into Board service? Dip your toe in the Chapter by joining a Chapter committee!

Serving on a committee is a great way to learn more about how the Chapter functions and provides a great way to meet and work alongside other P2 practitioners in our chapter's geographic footprint. Committee service is also a powerful way to build your own skills and expertise. The Chapter currently has three committees:

Communications: helps keep members informed of chapter happenings.
Contact Andrea to get involved with Communications.
Membership: helps provide a meaningful IAP2 membership.
Contact Josie to get involved with Membership.
Conference: helps plan the chapter's annual spring conference
Contact MJ or Edell to get involved with the Conference.
